Human rights are basic rights and freedoms which every person enjoys, or ought to enjoy, worldwide, regardless of their status, e.g., race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, etc.

In Europe, rights are protected by European Convention on Human Rights, and currently is enshrined in UK law by the Human Rights Act 1998 (for the time being), to give affect of the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work, education, etc.

With Brexit approaching should what will UK’s protections look like?
