We are a not-for-profit organisation based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, that provides a friendly, safe environment to hold regular forum sessions, conduct and commission research, on equality and diversity issues. Through our ‘Unity’ projects the team will address and support disadvantaged groups, especially from black minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds.
We aim to achieve this by: –
delivering various projects across the North of England that aims to promote public awareness of ‘Equality Matters!’, protect human rights and eliminate inequality, support to the most vulnerable in society and encourage self-sustainability…
Phase two of our ‘Unity‘ 2016/2022 plan will continue to focus on five key areas identified as needing improvement, these are:
- Living Standards
- Health & Care
In many cases, these distinct areas often overlap, where often the most vulnerable suffer abuse or require extra support. For example, at the hands of modern day slavery, mental-health neglect or the impact on everyday task and opportunities that are unequally restricted.
